All males that enter our house want to play with the helicopter. I will be ordering more as Christmas gifts.
Great gift. The whole family is enjoying it. The TV and I-Pods were actually turned off :)
great gift for retired men
great product for family fun
has taken a beating, but still flys great!
This is a great product for kids and those who are kids at heart. My husband plays with his helicopter everyday, like a child with a new toy. Its a great product.
Lots of fun indoors. Thinking about taking it out on the deck. Takes practice, learning to control it is fun and challenging.
Bought this for my three year old last week when it caught his eye (always wanted a remote control heli). Ready to go out of the box. Instructions are weak at best, but the machine is an engineering marvel (Mech. P.E.). It has been indestructible (Every flight ends in a spectacular crash). The key to enjoying this toy is understanding the mechanics of helicopter flight: Main rotor spins clockwise, therefore body spins counter clockwise until it is trimmed. If you increase the throttle you need to add more clockwise trim. If you decrease the throttle you need more CCW trim. Turning: find the correct throttle setting for level flight, trim it off for no body spin, then use the yaw control to turn the body either left or right. Heli is nose heavy and therefore flies in the direction the body is pointed. Just tap the yaw control, don't hold down or you will have the spins. One other note, start to fly out of your other hand so that you can let the tail rotor get up to speed before launching the ship into the air with your free hand. Once you have mastered the hand launch and can cruise for a minute without crashing, try a ground launch. When ground launching, briefly use strong right yaw to offset the strong main rotor torque to prevent bad initial spin. Don't forget as the battery drains you will need to trim for decreased main rotor speed. Happy Flying!
This thing is easy to use. Mine just broke but im glad i got the protection plan! Service was easy to get and ill be flying again in no time.
I bought this as a Father's Day gift for my husband from our 7-year-old son, thinking it would be something fun that they could do together. It is fun for both of them, but the charge lasts such a short amount of time that they can't play with it very long without recharging it.
All I can say is my grandson really loved his gift
I bought this for my husband for father's day and while he does enjoy it, it is not particularly easy to control. If it goes behind the couch it falls and it has hit our walls more than a few times :) It is light so no damage to the house yet.
It's [$]worth of entertainment - couldn't expect it to be very sophisticated technically. Control is delicate at best but it's fun to try.
Easy to use, fun indoor toy
Good for short time the battery doesn't last very long but great idea for kids who can take responsibility for their toys. Delicate parts but fun to play with.Definitly not for outdoor use!!
It brings a lot of fun.
This is a great little helicopter - smaller than I expected though. Very easy to use but children should really operate this with the assistance of adult. Very quick speed and flys very high. Really meant to be used indoors as any wind interferance outside takes the helicopter down.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
I used the helicopter in my family room and bedroom with success. I like that you can control it in somewhat small places. You can't beat the price for the quality. Its a great novelty toy. So far I have crashed it multiple times without breaking anything so it is pretty durable. If flown on carpet, I can't see it ever breaking unless it fell from really high up. The most challenging thing was getting the trim to keep the helicopter from spinning uncontrollably, which also makes it initially hard to fly. Make sure to begin flying it in a large space to avoid damage, but once you get the hang of flying it, it is really fun!

This product is a very fun and interactive toy. Sadly, it has a few cons. Example: Cant fly outside, needs a lot of space, very hard to fly or even get off the ground, and keeps turning around in circles on the ground. But other than that it is a perfect toy for anyone to play with.

Its amazing they can get so much bang in such a little package. Batteries tend to run down fairly quickly but are easily recharged. We own two helicopters, have purchased them as gifts, and have had friends buy them after they've played with ours. Its great fun for the money.

I got this from my work secret santa and have had hours of indoor fun, waiting for spring so I could try my hand outside as well. I recently bought one for my brother in law, a recreational pilot. Great product!

The Manager was flying in the store! WOW! I was amazed at the technology/size. I saw a knock-off version for more money in the mall & could appreciate the QUALITY of this one! The Mom exchanging 2 at the store didn't sway me away, but enforced the IMPORTANCE of getting their AFFORDABLE protection plan! My 4th grade son saw the helicopter & began talking of motors, relays etc. WOW! Did I learn that stuff in 4th grade? Likely not!
fun toy but get the protection plane

This thing is so fun and I cannot believe it has not broken yet with the number of times that I have crashed it. It is not exactly full control like the real thing but with practice you can kind of fly it around a room and stuff- i.e. not just up and down or spinning. Even if I end up breaking this... I'll buy a new one! I is REALLY FUN TO FLY!!! And it looks really cool too with the lights and stuff. I don't think the blades can hurt you but I would not give it to a toddler or small child just in case.

This Helicopter is pretty easy to fly. However it is fragile as the main rotor has broken twice. In fact it happen again the other day. I have been able to fly the unit without hitting anything but sometimes it losses control and when it comes down may nick something and that is when the rotor has broken
great product
takes a little while to learn how to fly

BOUGHT THE PRODUCT YESTERDAY, AND CAN FLY IT QUITE WELL TODAY, TOOK SOME TIME TO LEARN IT AND ADJUST THE TRIM, AND AFTER CHANGING TAILROTOR, HAD TO RETRIM. DOES NOT LIKE CARPETS(STRANDS TANGLE AROUND TAILROTOR AND LOOSES CONTROLL
we play with it outside (careful not too close to trees)
It is so fast!( unfortionately my cat thinks it's a bird, so we can't play w/ it around him)
My son and I play with these helicopters and laugh alot which really makes for some good time together.
Very fun! However, it is easy to crash and the helicopter is a little fragile. Make sure to buy the warranty!

I have bought two of these as gifts and they have been very well received. They are a little hard to control and take some getting used to, but are overall excellent toys and suprisingly durable. The battery life is decent, about 5-7 mins and they charge quickly. Definitely for indoor use only.
It is easy to use and entertaining. Not too powerful dougth.
It took a little time and patience to get the flyer trimmed out correctly, but once I did, EVERYONE in my office wanted to fly it. At home, it has been great entertainment for everyone, kids to grandparents. (The dog found it fascinating!)
Liked that I could buy a guaranttee since such toys are subject to breaking. [...]
Flies great but a little hard to control in small areas. Lots of fun.
the remote control developed a serious short the day I bought it [...]. the battery takes awhile to charge. on the other hand this thing is the most durable helocopter I have owned. it is very sturdy and generally a cool toy (after I fixed the remote control)
This product really works! It's lots of fun to fly indoors.
I'm told by my son that my grandson loves this thing and is really good with it! So far, after a couple of weeks, it's still in one piece, but I bought the insurance policy just in case. From what I hear, I'd recommend it!
It;'s fun to fly once you get the hang of it. But that takes a while The End.
Then everyone lived happily ever after. :-)
Nice product that's fairly easy to fly. The description neglects to tell you that you cannot set the frequency yourself but must look for A B or C on the carton to know which frequency is used. I bought three of these on-line only to find that two had the same frequency meaning the kids could not fly them at the same time. Bummer!
The helicopter is very easy to use and a lot of fun. This one was a replacement for the one purchased at Christmas. It lasted about 3 weeks. It really is a lot of fun and pretty simple to use but unfortunately lots of crash landings cause it not to last very long.
This helicopter has been great fun. Testing skills to fly it up steps and in and out of rooms, has kept teenage boys playing with it for hours. It hasn't grown old.
fun to use but the recharge takes FOREVER.
the helicopter is the second one in our family. the first was received as a gift but it never worked correctly. my husband loved it when it did work right, so I bought him the second one in hopes that it worked better. It does and he flies it every night after dinner
entertaining. A lot for the price.
I'm an army instructor pilot and my wife gave me one of these for christmas. By looking at the thing I would have predicted it'd be broken by now but it's logged quite a few hours around my living room. It's taken a bit to figure out the trim and to get the controls down, but when you figure that it takes a new army pilot ten full hours to get hovering down, it actually seems pretty reasonable. I explained ground effect and gyroscopic precession to my father in law while flying it, demonstrating the aerodynamic forces and he got the concept immediately as he had the visual aid. I probably wouldn't give one to a kid under 11 or so, but if your teenager plays video games and understand subtle control inputs, I highly recommend it. I wish I'd have had one of these in flight school.
This copter is best used in an open space in the house. After learning to guide it, you can go anywhere.
product works great! adults and children love it!
For indoor use only. A lot of fun to fly. Runs very quiet.
Both adults and children will find this helicopter quite entertaining. It whirls about the room with grace. In addition to it's entertaining quality it helps develop visual perception skills.
Used it to chase the cats around the house.
fun to watch as well as fly. Easy and sturdy.
Great product that is still flying.
This is a really fun toy. Figuring out how to work it takes a little while becuase it seems like the controls dont respond but it just takes a little bit.
my boyfriend loves this thing. i love that he loves it except when he's trying to land it on my head. one little piece did break off it i think - however, he "fixed" it somehow. it is good for a small apartment, even with low ceilings.
This has provided the family with lots of fun and laughs as we each took turns with running it.
Very fun, but very fragile. When you buy this, don't hesitate to buy a protection plan. These are very fun, however, when my boyfriend runs it in a ceiling fan and cracks the blade, or lands it in a sink full of soapy water, they don't like to work anymore. I assumed it was just his carelessness, but I flew mine around, and just one bump into a wall cracked the wing. We've replaced ours four times, brookstone makes it very easy. Highly enjoyable, highly recommendable...just get the protection plan!!
the best and most fun helicopter i ever played with
My husband and I bought the Helicopter for our daughter's boyfriend for Christmas. The second day he was already having trouble with it, but after recalibrating it, the helicopter worked. Now he cannot even get it in the air. Our money was wasted though it was fun while it lasted.
Cool product. Fun once you get the hang of it. Dont get your heart broke when it breaks, it will eventually. But its fairly inexpensive for what it does...
I HAVE ONE AND IT IS LOADS OF FUN. MY AVERAGE FLIGHT TIME IS 15 MINUTES. BUT WHEN LOOKING AT THE DISCIPTION AND IT SAYS, EXTRA TAIL ROTORS AND STABILIZERS ARE INCLUDED. THEY DO HAVE THE SPARE TAIL ROTORS BUT NOT THE ADDITIONAL STABILIZERS.
You have to keep in mind it is under $30 so it doesn't do everything a $300 or more helicopter will do, but for the price it is exceptionally rugged and flies great. I'm amazed at the tiny tail rotor motor and precision gearing. I've smacked it into walls, crashed into furniture, etc. with no damage.
Got one and it is the best great for kids easy to use.
We bought two and have had a lot of fun flying them together. They have withstood numerous crashes.
My teenage son loves this thing! It took him a little effort to be able to fly it correctly but it's a very tough little helicopter and didn't suffer any ill effects from all of the bumps and crashes. We will be purchasing more of these for other kids in the family next Christmas. Probably for some adults , too!
Excellent durability
Three family members, ages 59, 28, and 4, got these for Christmas. They all love them. All ages. The helicopter is most fun in the 24-foot-tall living room. It spins and buzzes around like a very large insect. Much fun.
I bought two of these for Christmas gifts and both are sitting untouched since opened. The children found them very hard to fly and did not enjoy them.
Great toy for Dad's. I've owned it for two days and I'm loving it. Beats those tethered choppers when I was a kid. Best suited for pre-teen and older due to the skill level required for flying. I lost control over a water filled kitchen sink, it took spill and dove into the water. At that point it was a goner I was grounded. I t
