As an engineer I was working on a tool to clean this dryer vent. The difficulty was in find a flexible device, that could extend the full length, and would have a sturdy brush.Then I stumbled unto this product. This is exactly what the job required. Also works great with the storm gutters.

It does what it says it does; it cleaned at lot of lint out of the vent. However not being able to get the cover off the vent on the roof. I can't tell for sure that it's getting everything or going all the way up.

After searching the internet I found this to be the most complete cleaning system for clothes dryer vents. The detachable rod segments are easy to use and flexible enough to work well with 90º turns. The brush and rods are stiff enough to clean the solid vent from the utility room to the exit point from the house while being gentle enough to clean any flexible vent hose used to connect the dryer to the wall. All in all this is well worth the money.

Worked great to clean out an almost 40 foot dryer vent line. Started from the outside and then did the inside overlapping in the middle. The outside vent now feels like a leaf blower and clothes get dry in minutes instead of hours.
Only problem is that the vacuum adapter didn't fit my shop vac, but a towel wrapped around the hose made a good enough seal.

After using the tool I had a basketball sized pile of lint on the floor. It was a potential fire hazard and is probably what caused my last dryer to burn up. The tool worked perfectly, and was very easy to use.

Cleaned vent very well, but had trouble with a couple 90 degree bends in my dryer vent line that will probably cause all products trouble. With the attachements, I was able to clean from the outside and then from the inside. Very happy with this tool.

The [...] catalog was the first time I ever saw this item. Knowing my need to clean a 12 ft. clothes dryer vent, I ordered the cleaner unit immediately. It worked great. I do think the plastic attachments should be longer.

This is a necessary product. It cleans dryer vents of lint that could cause a fire. I cleaned 2 buckets full of lint from my neighbors house as an example. The only other thing you need is a vacuum with a long extention. This is a product that does what it advertises.

I ordered this product when my dryer stopped working as well as expected. The dryer has a built in wetness sensor but it wasn't drying the clothes as it needed too. I had a technician to the house and he said it wasn't the dryer it was the vents leading out of the house. While flying I saw this product in Sky Mall and decided to give it a try. The product is extremely easy to attach to my cordless drill. The product cleared my vents exactly as advertised. My vents are now spotless and the dryer works great again. The only con I found was that the rods are so flexible it wasn't easy for one person to use if the entire length of rods necessary to complete the task were connected at one time.

If you can't follow the directions, then this product is NOT for you. It's foolproof! If you're a handyman who knows what they're doing, then this IS for you. Its easy to use and much cheaper than to hire a cleaning service. I suggest thorough cleaning of your dryer vent semi-annually (twice a year/every 6 months). Especially during the summer with the humidity, clean as much as you can. You paid for it, why not use it? If you will use a cordless drill, make sure you have a fully charged battery. I drained my battery because I made sure my vent was clean as possible. I recommend you use a mirror and flashlight to look thru the vent for blockage. It helps you find areas needed for more cleaning. Having a newer home (6+ yrs) the outside vent is fixed (permanent) and the screen is soldered on. With the flexible rods I cleaned from the inside of my house. Make sure you use a dust filter mask and safety goggles when cleaning. Very good product, indeed.

Our dryer vent goes down the middle of our house to the laundry room. I've tried all kinds of contraptions to clean out this vent. All were frustrating, got stuck and took up a lot of my time to get them to work. This vent cleaner was so easy and did the job in just minutes, without getting stuck!
