I bought it for my hubby as a Father's Day present. He simply loves it! It keeps him occupied.
It is fairly accurate and needs some getting use to setting it up. Once you get it, tracking is fast and accurate and images are sharp and clear.
It may not be as portable as i like it to be but it is not all that bulky or heavy.
additional accessories may be purchase to enhance the viewing experience or to met other needs.

Primary use is for astronomy.

I just received this telescope as a gift. There is a lot of reading involved in order to get up to speed on how to use the telescope. I have only had a chance to use it once and the finder worked awesome! But what I'm seeing through the telescope looks just like what I'm seeing when I look at the sky any other night. I may need to get a little more comfortable with my telescope first because it does say you'll get good clear images of deep space. So far, no luck.
